Ruth Scott sent me this & a few more lovely old postcards. This one shows King St taken from the Market Place in South Shields 1907

This view of King St was taken a little earlier than 1907 and it shows one of the horse drawn Trams.

A busy 1920's photo showing Ocean Rd with the Royal Hotel on the left & the 'Criterion Hotel' on the right & they are still there today.

I think we've all seen this view when returning from the Beach. It is the Wouldhave Memorial in Ocean Rd in the early 1900s.

Another view from Ruth of the South Marine Park this one was taken in 1909

A 1904 postcard of the Pier with people in the dress of the day & a Sailing Ship in the harbour

A busy Pier in 1920 with all the keep fit enthusiasts getting there fresh air. If they were here today they'd be out in there tracksuits & trainers.

Ruth's North Marine Park in 1914 with Ocean Rd hidden in the centre of the view going from left to right

Shields harbour 1976 showing the largest Tanker ever built on the Tyne.Sorry for forgetting who sent me the photo.
